· Conducted consulting assignments related to forest management activities, government liaison and improving mill efficiency. Past projects includes:
· Developed a sawmill improvement program for a U.S. paper company owning both hardwood and softwood mills.
· Reviewed the business plan for construction of an M.D.F. plant. Made appropriate recommendations.
· Prepared pre-feasibility study and developed business plan for hardwood sawmill.
· Evaluation of fibre supply, review of business plans and government relations for large softwood lumber manufacturer in North Western Ontario.
· Developed a business plan, restructuring options and financing proposal for two paper mills. One in Ontario and another in Ohio.
· Fibre Procurement and Forest Management files for three independent sawmill operations in Northern Ontario.
· Evaluation of hard wood flooring plants.
· Developed business plan, engineering details and negotiated financing for a plant to process post industrial “Personal Care Products”
· Prepared feasibility study for acquisition of chip Transportation Company in Quebec and actively involved in purchase and sale negotiations.
· Lead negotiator and coordinator for group of four companies putting in place a C.O.O.P. S.F.L. in Northern Ontario
· Advisor for a sawmill operation working towards a joint venture with a large paper company. Provided evaluations, supplied cost comparisons and recommendations.
· Negotiation for Memorandum of Agreement for cutting rights between large pulp and paper company and a softwood lumber mill
· Reviewed Business Plan for a project in China, which was listed on the TSX in 2004.
· Review and prepare recommendations on forestry related issues for an industry association in Ontario.
