Bioenergy Business Models that work in Canada
Butler-Consultants attended the Canadian Bioenergy Association Annual Conference in Vancouver. The CanBio theme for 2010 was projects that work in Canada. The focus was on development. It was a business-focused conference that will help our clients make the right bioenergy decisions.
We also attended the session on community biomass heating jointly with the BC Bioenergy Network; a panel of 6 Europeans and Canadians each delivering presentations on relevant district heating issues.
We had discussions with the most successful developers of small heat & power projects in Europe, and saw why their technology will work in Canada.
We took part in the industry study tour that included:
· viewing EnviroResolution's ENVI Clean™ 6 MW emission scrubber
· viewing Kruger’s new biomass gasification installation using Nexterra technology
· viewing Lignol’s bioethanol/lignin pilot plant
